Thorny devil has cultivated skin that can consume water like blotter paper (named 'capillary action'). The way the scales on the body are structured, the scales collect dew and channels it down to the corners of the mouth, which is where the lizard drinks it. You can actually watch the lizard’s skin darken as it soaks up whatever liquid remains from even the muckiest of puddles.
To survive the harsh Australian summers, kangaroos will cool off by licking their forearms. Which evaporate and help to cool down.
Camels have thick hairs in their ears for keeping out sand, and the same can be said of their eyelashes.
A lot of desert animals have large ears which serves a purpose to help cool down as they are loaded with blood vessels, allowing the animals to dissipate excess body heat. It is also a large surface area which gives more room for heat to leave the body.
Some of these adapatations are similar to other animals adaptations from a different biomes. The kangaroo licking itself is it's version of sweating which animals do to cool down their temperature. Animals having big ears to have a bigger surface area which is the opposite to animals in colder environements.
